Invasive Plant

Tree Tech is an approved contractor for the management control of invasive plants with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Invasive plants have become a hot topic and for a good reason. They have established themselves in many areas throughout the commonwealth. With no natural controls, invasive species can be very harmful to native vegetation as they compete for nutrients and space. The following plants are considered “invasive” in Massachusetts:


There are several methods of control to consider:

  1. Chemical which includes herbicides
  2. Mechanical which includes brush mowing, grubbing
  3. Cultural which includes burning, mulching and grazing (goats)
